Talamati Bush Camp
Exclusive bush camp in central Kruger's prime predator grasslands — no day visitors, no crowds
About Talamati Bush Camp
Talamati Bush Camp sits in the heart of central Kruger’s open sweetveld grasslands — the same predator-rich habitat that makes nearby Satara the park’s premier lion camp. With just 15 cottages and no access for day visitors, Talamati offers the wildlife riches of central Kruger without the vehicle traffic that can accumulate around Satara.
The camp overlooks the N’waswitsontso River, a seasonal watercourse that draws wildlife to its remaining pools during the dry season. Lion, cheetah, and wild dog are regularly sighted on the roads surrounding camp, and the open grasslands make for excellent visibility during game drives.
All cottages are fully equipped for self-catering, with air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms, kitchenettes, and private braai areas. The camp has a communal boma area and a small swimming pool, but no shop or restaurant.
Talamati is a favourite among seasoned Kruger visitors who know that central Kruger’s grasslands deliver some of the best predator sightings in the park, and who appreciate the peace of a camp that feels like it belongs to them alone.
