Boulders Bush Lodge
Exclusive-use SANParks bush lodge for groups — your own private camp inside Kruger
About Boulders Bush Lodge
Boulders Bush Lodge is one of SANParks’ exclusive-use bush lodges inside Kruger National Park — meaning the entire camp is booked by a single group, creating a genuinely private safari experience within the national park. For families, friends, or small groups, Boulders offers something no other accommodation type in Kruger can match: your own camp, your own schedule, and your own piece of wilderness.
The lodge consists of four self-catering chalets accommodating up to 19 guests, set among enormous granite boulders on the banks of the Mbyamiti River between Mopani and Shingwedzi. The setting is dramatic — ancient boulders frame the camp, riverine forest provides shade, and the surrounding bush teems with wildlife.
A communal kitchen, boma, and entertainment area provide gathering spaces, and the unfenced riverbed serves as a natural game-viewing hide. Elephant, buffalo, and various antelope species regularly pass through the camp area.
Boulders is fully self-catering and self-drive — there are no guides, rangers, or meal services. But for groups who want exclusive use of a wilderness camp inside Kruger at SANParks pricing, there is nothing comparable anywhere in the park.
