Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge
An award-winning lodge built into the earth — where architecture disappears into the African landscape
About Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge
Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge is a multi-award-winning masterpiece of eco-architecture in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. Unlike any other lodge in the Greater Kruger, Earth Lodge is built entirely into the earth, with grass-covered roofs and an organic design that makes the building virtually invisible from the outside. The effect is breathtaking — a seamless fusion of luxury and landscape.
Thirteen amber-lit suites are generously proportioned, each featuring commissioned furniture, a secluded private plunge pool, and an indoor-outdoor flow that blurs the boundary between shelter and wilderness. The Amber Presidential Suite is one of the most celebrated rooms in African hospitality.
Below ground, a curated wine cellar hosts private tastings and bespoke dining experiences. Above, an open-air boma and viewing deck offer stargazing and sundowner cocktails overlooking the bush. The spa, set in a tranquil garden, provides treatments using indigenous African ingredients.
Game drives in the Sabi Sand offer outstanding Big Five viewing, with leopard sightings that rival anywhere in Africa. Sabi Sabi’s guiding team is among the most experienced in the industry, and their tracker-ranger partnerships deliver consistently exceptional wildlife encounters.
