Biyamiti Bush Camp
Secluded bush camp on the Biyamiti River — exclusive, self-catering, and rich in wildlife
About Biyamiti Bush Camp
Biyamiti Bush Camp is one of Kruger’s five exclusive bushveld camps, tucked away on the banks of the Biyamiti River in the far south of the park. With just 15 cottages and no day visitors allowed, Biyamiti offers a level of privacy and tranquillity that the larger rest camps simply cannot match.
The camp sits in prime white rhino and wild dog territory, and the roads surrounding Biyamiti are among the quietest in southern Kruger. The Biyamiti River attracts a steady procession of wildlife — elephant, buffalo, and kudu are regular visitors, while lion and leopard patrol the surrounding bushveld. The S139 road south of camp is consistently productive for predator sightings.
Accommodation consists of fully equipped self-catering cottages with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, kitchenettes with cooking utensils, and private braai areas. There is no shop or restaurant — guests must bring all supplies from outside the park or stock up at Skukuza or Berg-en-Dal before arriving.
Biyamiti appeals to experienced Kruger visitors who value solitude over convenience. The camp’s exclusivity and intimate setting create an atmosphere closer to a private game reserve than a national park camp — at a fraction of the cost.
