andBeyond Tengile River Lodge

andBeyond Tengile River Lodge is one of the newest and most design-forward lodges in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. Opened in 2019, the lodge features just nine suites set in a strip of dense riverine bush along the Sand River, each one an architectural statement of indoor-outdoor luxury living.

Every suite is spacious, air-conditioned, and complete with a private lap pool, sunken outdoor lounge, heated indoor and outdoor showers, and a private viewing deck overlooking the river. The design philosophy blends contemporary African aesthetics with the natural textures of stone, wood, and glass, creating spaces that feel both luxurious and grounded in the landscape.

The lodge sits within andBeyond’s Sabi Sand concession, one of the most wildlife-rich traversing areas in the entire reserve. Big Five sightings are virtually guaranteed, with the Sabi Sand’s famous leopard population providing regular, intimate encounters. Game drives are led by andBeyond’s highly skilled rangers and trackers.

Dining is exceptional — from gourmet bush breakfasts to multi-course dinners in the boma, wine cellar, or under the stars. The lodge’s intimacy — just 18 guests at capacity — ensures personalised attention and flexible scheduling of activities.
